Just two weeks into the new relationship managing Ford Motor Company’s Demonstrator Fleet VQS were challenged to provide the London Marathon Events team with a significant volume of vehicles to support the global phenomenon.

From the official timing vehicle to moving large numbers of energetic staff and volunteers around the event, which saw the World’s most accomplished athletes compete and over 50,000 enthusiastic fundraisers enjoy the backdrop of the nation’s Capital City.

Simon Jackson VQS Managing Director states – “Providing the logistics for this event has proven to be a real challenge. From a standing start just three weeks ago, we managed to get every vehicle sourced and delivered fully charged for the event. Getting vehicles in and out of central London at peak times is becoming more demanding. With so many delivery touch points, and protocols to follow it was credit to the VQS Events booking team to manage the logistics operation so successfully”.

As the London Marathon event winds down for another year the prestigious fleet returns to normal activities, providing Ford Motor Company’s Fleet customers with the chance to review the latest technology on offer.

The next opportunity for many customers to review the fleet is the Company Car in Action event and is just six weeks away.
